Apple has unveiled the latest iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, and macOS updates, so when can you download them and what devices will they support?
On June 6, 2022, Apple announced iOS 16, iPadOS 16, macOS Ventura, and several other exciting updates during WWDC22. These new updates include new Lock Screen widgets, expanded Focus modes, Apple Pay expansion, and more. But when can we expect to get them? And is there a way to get these updates sooner?
Here are the release dates for all the new software updates (and betas) revealed at WWDC this year.
These Updates Are Scheduled to Release in Fall 2022
Tim Cook announced that all the updates announced in WWDC 2022 would become available to the public this fall. That means iOS 16, iPadOS 16, watchOS 9, and macOS Ventura will be available between September and December 2022.
This schedule doesn’t stray far from Apple’s usual release, which would mean iOS 16 will release around the third week of September, about a week after revealing the next iPhone.
The Beta Versions Are Available Already
But if you’re in a rush to get these updates, Apple made the developer beta available to download immediately after WWDC22 finished on June 6. And the Public Beta is due to become available from July. Though, sometimes it’s a bad idea to install the iOS beta.
