Secure the Samsung 870 EVO 2TB SSD while it’s down to $195

The Samsung 870 EVO 2TB SATA solid state drive has dropped to $195.49 through Newegg when you use the code 93XSK83 during checkout. Without the code, the drive is $230, which is what it’s going for at other retailers like Amazon. It has actually never gone lower than $210 there, so today’s price at Newegg is a great low price from either online store. This is one of Newegg’s Shell Shocker deals, though, which means the price is only good through the end of the day if it doesn’t sell out first.

Don’t forget to use the code 93XSK83 to knock the price down. This is a large SSD with all the space you need to store your favorite applications and games. It has the speed of a SATA SSD, too.

At this point you should probably already be working from an SSD. At the very least you have a small capacity SSD with a larger hard drive for storage, right? That’s sort of the ideal combo because SSDs tend to get rather expensive the larger the capacity. Hopefully this deal negates that for you a bit because it’s really nice being able to keep all of your stuff on the drive that works faster than the others. Heck, with this 2TB SATA SSD going for so low you might switch it up to a new combo that includes a small capacity NVMe M.2 SSD for even faster read times and this regular SSD for storage. The future is now, people.

With the 870 EVO you’ll get read/write times of 560 and 530 MB/s respectively. That’s much faster than a regular hard drive, and SSDs also have increased reliability thanks to the lack of moving parts. They can take a lot of punishment up to 2,400 TBW (Terabytes written). That’s pretty important whether you’re just doing everyday tasks or rendering high resolution video.

You’ll also be able to use this SSD with a lot of systems. An M.2 SSD, for example, needs to have a motherboard that is specifically compatible with its form factor. An SSD like this just needs the 2.5-inch form factor, which is relatively common.
