6 Feedly Tips Every User Should Know About

If you just started using Feedly, it might be a little hard at first to get the hang of it. But don’t worry; it’s pretty straightforward to use. To get you started, here are some basic tips you need to know to get the most out of Feedly.

1. Check Your Recently Read Articles

Feedly is a smart news app that simplifies how you read important news. But if you started reading an article but couldn’t finish it, you might want to go back to read it later. However, if you didn’t add the article to your Read Later list, it might be hard to find it.

Fortunately, Feedly keeps track of all your recently read articles, so you can continue reading them in a flash.

If you’re on Feedly.com, you must click the Navigation menu to open it (it’s the three-line button below the Feedly logo near the top left corner). Afterward, you can click Recently Read at the bottom of the menu.

If you’re on Android or iPhone, open the Feedly app and tap the Navigation menu button in the bottom left corner of your screen. Then, if you need to, scroll down until you find Recently Read near the bottom.

2. Connect Your Reddit Account to Feedly

Feedly can be your one-stop shop for all your favorite social media platforms, including Reddit. You can easily connect your Reddit account to your Feedly account, so you’ll see new posts from your favorite subreddits and websites in the same place.

If you’re on your browser, go to Feedly and then click the Follow button in the left side menu (it’s the button that looks like the Wi-Fi symbol with a plus sign at the top). Then click the Reddit tab near the top of the web page and click Connect to Reddit. Log in to your Reddit account to connect your Feedly and Reddit accounts.

If you’re on mobile, you’ll need to open the Feedly app and tap the tab with the plus icon (+) in the bottom right side of your screen. Then tap Reddit and select Connect to Reddit. You’ll be redirected to your browser, where you’ll need to log in to your account to connect it to Feedly.

If you want to make the most out of it, there’s also a See Tutorial button you can select to learn more about Reddit and Feedly.

3. Connect Your Twitter Account to Feedly

You can also connect your Twitter account, so you don’t miss out on any big news or tweets you should know about.

Keep in mind that getting Twitter feeds on Feedly is a premium feature, so you’ll need to purchase a Feedly subscription to complete these steps.

On your browser, go to Feedly and click the Follow button located in the left side menu (it’s the button that looks like the Wi-Fi symbol with a plus sign at the top). Then, click Twitter near the top of the webpage. Finally, click Get Twitter Feeds and log in to your Twitter account to connect your Feedly and Twitter accounts.

On mobile, open the Feedly app and tap the tab with the plus icon (+) in the bottom right side of your screen. Tap Twitter near the top of your screen and select Get Twitter Feeds. Finally, log in to your Twitter account to complete the process.

4. Discover New Websites to Follow

One of Feedly’s greatest features is that you can discover new websites you haven’t heard of. You can search the topics you’re interested in, and Feedly will give you the best suggestions. This makes Feedly a great platform to follow the best news sites you know you can trust.

To follow new sites or topics on the Feedly website, you can click the Follow button, which looks like the Wi-Fi symbol with a plus icon at the top, that’s located in the left side menu.

You can use the search bar to search for websites or topics you want, and Feedly will show you the best results possible. If you want to get the most out of your search, you can also click the Related topics Feedly suggests on the right side of your screen.

Finally, click the Follow button if you find a website you like. And if you want to find similar websites, you can click Similar feeds, and Feedly will do the rest.

On mobile, once you’re on the Feedly app, tap the plus tab in the top right side of your screen. Enter the topic or website you want in the search bar near the top. Feedly will give you a result of the best websites it could find, and you can use the plus icon next to the website’s name to add it to your feed.

5. Save Articles to Read Later

Feedly is a great place to find articles worth reading. But with so many articles and feeds to follow, you probably won’t find the time to read all of them in a day. Fortunately, Feedly makes it easy to save the most interesting articles you find so you can read them later.

If you’re on your browser, select the article you want to save for later and click the Read Later button near the top of your screen (it’s the button that looks like a bookmark icon).

For mobile users, select the article you want to save and tap the Read Later button near the top, which also looks like a bookmark icon.

To access all the articles you saved, open the Navigation menu—the three-line button on the left side of your screen—and select Read Later.

6. Change the Appearance of Feedly

You can change Feedly’s appearance so it fits all your needs. That includes the type of font you want to use, the size of the text, and even the display density.

If you’re on the Feedly website, click your profile located in the bottom left corner of the web page, and then select Settings. Click on Appearance, and change all the preferences you want. Any change you make will be applied automatically. You can try all the settings you want or go back to what you felt comfortable with.

Unfortunately for mobile users, you can’t change the appearance of the Feedly app. Also, keep in mind that some settings are only available if you have a Feedly subscription.

Make the Most Out of Feedly

These tips will help you get started with Feedly and make the most out of the platform in no time. Whether you’re using your favorite browser or the mobile app, there are many ways to read and get what you want out of Feedly.
